Our Staff

The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff’s training, professional credentials and work experience.

 

drLaura Manuel D.D.S.

Education:

  • South Torrance High School 1990
  • UCSB 1990-1994 Microbiology Major
  • UCSF 1995-1999 Dental School
  • Rancho Los Amigos/Downey General Practice Residency specializing in disabled adults.
  • Premier Provider of invisalign since 2005
  • Member of D.O.C.S. Sedation Dentistry and specializing in fearful adults.

Dr. Laura Manuel came to Naples Dental Care in 2001 to work with Dr. Joel Lander, the founder of Naples Dental Care. After 5 years, she procured the practice in 2006 from Dr. Lander. She still lives in the Torrance area today with her husband, two children and 3 dogs. She enjoys kickboxing, most outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
 

Dr. Lander D.D.S.

drDr. Lander received his undergraduate education at U.C.L.A. He then attended the University of the Pacific Dental School. He established his dental office in Long Beach and practiced until Dr. Laura Manuel took over in 2006.

During his busy practice years Dr. Lander was also very active in dental organizations. He served on the Harbor Dental Society's peer review committee for many years and was chairman for four of those years. Since resuming practice, he has reestablished his membership and activities on the committee. After six years on the Board of Directors of the Harbor Dental Society, Dr. Lander became president of the organization. He also served as a trustee to the California Dental Association. For an extended period of time, Dr. Lander was a spokesperson for the California Dental Association appearing on both radio and television with public service announcements about dentistry.

Dr. Lander has recently rejoined Dr. Manuel in the office on Wednesdays for your convenience and to allow Dr. Manuel some extra time with her wonderful young family.
 

 

Rstolbaoberta Stolba, RDH
Roberta has worked as a dental hygienist for the past 21 years, 15 of those years have been in Long Beach at Naples Dental Care.

Roberta has a busy family life in South Orange County with her husband Sam, 9 year old son, Blake and a terrier named Buddy.

 

joanne schauerJoanne Schauer, RDH
Joanne was born in Pasadena where she attended high school and worked as a dental assistant. She attended UCLA and Pasadena City College School of Dental Hygiene. She practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 35 years. She has been with Naples Dental Care since 1992. She currently lives in Orange County with husband, Randy, of 24 years and their two children, Scott and Alexis.

 

stephanieStephanie San Marchi, RDH
Stephanie was born and raised locally in Huntington Beach. She received her certificate in Dental Assisting in 1994 and R.D.A. license in 1995. She continued her general education and prerequisite courses for Dental Hygiene at Golden West College. Stephanie attended the Dental Hygiene Program at West Los Angeles of UCLA College and graduated in 1999 with an A.S. Degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined our staff in 2004.
Stephanie enjoys being active outdoors and traveling.

 

lisaLisa Estrella
Lisa started her career with Naples Dental Care as a registered dental assistant in 1989 and has since become the office manager. She is a California native and has three grown sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and traveling. She currently lives in Huntington Beach.

 

ASHLEE EDDOWESAshlee Eddowes, RDA EF
Ashlee grew up in southern New Mexico and became a registered dental assistant in 1998. She finished her continuing education in dental assisting with extended functions. She has worked at Naples Dental Care since 2003. She currently lives in Rancho Palos Verdes with her husband, Manuel, and their three children. Ashlee enjoys spending time with her family in her free time.

 

ashelyAshley Colon, RDA
Ashley grew up in Orange County and received an A.S. degree in 2008 from Orange Coast College. She is a registered dental assistant and has worked for Naples Dental Care since 2005. She is currently a student at Long Beach State and lives in Tustin. In her free time she enjoys shopping, movies and spending time with friends.
